Reconciliation Church

The Reconciliation Church, whilst in the boundaries of the Parish of St Andrew’s at Malabar, is one of the two sites of the Aboriginal Catholic Ministry. The Catholic Archdiocese of Sydney appoints a Chaplain to support the ministry, the Chaplain is also assisted by visiting priests on a monthly basis to help with Masses. The Church is open 10 am to 3 pm Monday to Friday and at other times by prior arrangement. Eucharist is held on the first Sunday of the month, or as per our website, and this Mass is followed by a light lunch.

The ACM also offers sacramental programs for the children of our community. At the Reconciliation Church, we acknowledge days of significance, for example, National Sorry Day and National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Sunday.

One of the treasures of the Reconciliation Church is our Stations of the Cross painted by renowned artist Richard Campbell.

Everyone is welcome to celebrate Masses, liturgies and prayer services as part of the Reconciliation Church. Tours can be organised by contacting our Administration Officer.
